Understanding the aesthetics of a room to lights…
Our key must be to make an aesthetically pleasing room, wherein you can sit, relax, and chill. Understanding the aesthetics of a room deals with a lot of things like the color scheme, lightening, vibe, and of course the dimensions of the room. Lightening plays an important role in this process. But there are different parameters to be analyzed before choosing the perfect lights for the room.
1.) The type of the room
Lights and lampshades are decided according to the type of room. Different lights are installed in a bedroom as compared to the living room. Thus, one of the basic parameters to be judged is understanding what does the room demands from us. If it is a reading room, then the lightening should be bright and a well lit one, whereas if it is in the lobby then the lightening should be more towards subtle shades.
2.) Room’s natural light
The amount of natural light emitted in a room is one of the major factors to be considered before installing the ceiling lights. The exact positioning of these lights would be apt when considered with the natural light aspect. Ceiling lamps will be useless in case they are installed in broad daylight zones of the house.
3.) Space of the room
The ceiling light needs a good space to emit light. The dimensions of the room will help in knowing how much light is required and which areas of the room must be focused on. The lights differ according to the space provided in the room. Lights like chandeliers, pendants, and flush mounts can be hung in open spaces. Thus, one has to be careful while choosing the lights keeping in mind the room that they are choosing it for. Also, the surrounding furniture brings in slight adjustments to ceiling lamp fixation.
4.) Tone of lights required
According to research, it has been studied that red color has the lowest impact whereas white and blue undertones have an influential impact on our emotions. The color of lights depends on various factors like readability, vibe, and psychological aspects as well. The tone of the lights helps in setting the mood and environment of the room. One might want bright white light in the kitchen, but soft white in the living area. It all depends on the preferences according to the aesthetics of the room.
